Today’s rapidly changing economic and social environment requires many new sustainable solutions for the agricultural sector, in particular terms of achieving higher yields conserving arable land. However, latest technologies innovative ideas could answer these issues even support a smooth transition into green economy. The current work studies one best solutions—consumer acceptance. Even though vertical farming is relatively widely researched, potential clients are seldom analysed. applied systematic literature review (PRISMA) approach revealed various vital characteristics related to consumers based on academic publications. According selected studies’ results, consumers’ adoption technology most influenced by prior knowledge importance sustainability. Some found further correlations between age gender regarding adoption, while others did not investigate or their role irrelevant.
